At the beginnings of the XX century, in the south of Spain, a group of artisans skilled
in garnish and saddlery began its activity in the upholstered furniture field under Mr Carmelo
Castillo Durán's leadership.
Some years later, Sant Vicenç dels Horts was the place chosen to work. Once there,
Mr José Castillo Ruíz continued his father's work surrounded by a team of
proffesionals. He decided to market a limited number of desings, made and adapted to the current
trends of the upholstered furniture. Those designs had a top quality on either materials or finish.
Our company also offered the possibility to personalize their upholstery.
In accordance with the demand of a market which was getting increasingly demanding, in the year
1997 the third generation takes the baton and founds Tapicerías Castillo. The tailoring of
decoration accessories is added to its wide variety of desings. It also offers all-embracing installations
of hotels, hospitals and residential home for the elderly as well as the making of positive adaptation in
every kind of atmosphere and decoration plans. Our establishment and prestige are guaranteed by our
